2" Body Lift
so today i was walking back to my truck after work and there were only a few cars in the parking lot and i saw my truck sitting all alone in the middle of the parking lot and thought to myself that 'damn my truck looks really good'... unfortunately it wasnt my truck, it was a stock 4x4 ranger and then looking at my truck it looked kinda sad being so low.
now i have no money to get new tires so im going to be stuck with my 30's but isnt that what stock 4x4s come with, 235/75r15 or 16 so i dont think a 2" lift would look to bad with 30's.
my question is what will i have to get? im thinking of just getting a 3 inch lift kit and then swapping out the 3" blocks for 2" blocks and just selling the 3" blocks. but if i could avoid the trouble of having a bunch of extra blocks id rather go that route. what i think i need is the bumper brackets and radiator extension. anything im missing?

My '01 XLT 4x4 came with 245/75r16 = 30.5". Since you want to piece together a 2" BL, i suggest the following...
PA front bumper lift brackets CAN make for a 2" bumper lift w/o any modding. I've got mine with about a 3/4" gap between the grille and bumper.
Possibly fabbing up a steering extention....1" BL there's plenty of movement of the shaft in stock form, i doubt 2" would be okay w/o some sort of extention.
Ground straps are perfectly fine...but do remember to check them out when lifting. Check for stretching...hell...disconnect them while doing the lift.
Radiator drops....I honestly don't know...they can be fabbed really easy though.
Rear bumper is where it gets tricky imo, the PA brackets don't allow for 2" of lift....pretty much 2.75 or so is minimum w/o modding the bracket. which could be as easy as a diegrinder to the holes.
Download the PA instructions. They contain the 3" BL bolt lengths. Check the 1" BL thread for the measurements on the 1" BL 'piece together' lift....and figure out your 2" lift bolt lengths. Sportz-Trailerz or somthing like that is the seller for the individual lift blocks. Link to the store is in the 1" BL thread.
I think you'd be into the lift about $100, but could be more depending on how much those PA brackets will cost and if you do need to run a steering extention.
