Whats roughly considered a good deal/fair price for a 2 or 4 wheel drive 4 banger with either an auto or manuel. Looking for an 87-94 as a beater and weekday driver. Something thats mechanically sound that I wont be dumping money in. I dont mind being a turtle with the 4cyl but Id miss the power of my brother 4.0 I know the prices for those trucks didnt know exactly how much the price differs. Im thinkin around $500 +/-?

 

700-1000 i would say but this is a hard question. Im saying a solid solid 87 or up

 

87-94 best price is FREE , as that old of a rig will be a money pit if expected as a DD.

 

It depends on condition and milage if it's rough and high miles then not much but if you find a mint little 87 with very low miles and was driven by a 90 year man then alot more. Those little four bangers are great if they are maintained and you do the same, my Dad had a 88 2 years ago that was an awesome little truck and he never had to do anything at all to it. Heck you could by an 2000 and up Ranger and have to sink $$$ into it because it wasn't looked after. Just try and find the best deal and if you have any concerns post them on here and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.
