Icon5 Truck steers harder after 3" Bodylift?

A buddy of mine had a 3" body lift installed on his 2008 Ranger Sport 4x4 at a local shop and now finds that the steering is much stiffer than before the lift is this normal experience after a body lift? He's running the same tires as before lift as well 245/75/16 on stock rims.

Also, his shifter has alot more play in it after the shifter extension was installed is this normal as well?

These two issues have be concerned about having a BL installed on my truck!?!

i noticed my steering tightened up after my BL.. its noticeably tighter but its not that bad...although i went from 255s to 33x12.5s... so im pretty sure that has something to do with it..

my steering felt no different after the bodylift. and duh! of course the shift is going to be longer when you add the extension to the shifter.... the shifter is now longer = longer shift lol

After I installed my body lift my steering seemed stiffer as well, but after awhile everything went back to normal and everything is working fine.

the steering will be tighter for a while. even if everything is installed properly. it will loosen up over time.

as for the shifter. i assume manual transmission?

Its due to the shifter extension. Unfortunately the only fix for it is the hurst shifter. You will still need an extension or get the longer shift arm, but thats your only choice. It's well worth it though!
