Quick Seafoam question

When using it with your oil, you just pour it in when you add the new oil, right? Then change ~ 2000 miles later?

NO. You pour it in when BEFORE you change your oil, then run it for ~10min or so and change the oil imediatly. Seafoam is a 'solvent' (for lack of a better word) and definatly not a lubricant.

Thats more or less what the directions say. The Seafoam will break all the crud off the walls, oil passages, and such.. in turn also breaking down the oil, bla bla.. so yea. Pour it in, drive it around a bit, then change oil/filter.

I'd recommend using Auto-Rx over a solvent-based cleaner like Seafoam, it doesn't break down the oil in any way and does a better job.

If you do pour Seafoam or the like in your crankcase, you're better off just letting the engine idle for the 10 minutes or so, don't put any load on it.

You CAN drive around with it in the oil for the entire change interval, but I wouldnt use a whole bottle. Nor even a third of a bottle at that. Just use it as a flush before an oil change.
If you want something to help clean the engine while driving, put in a half quart or so of ATF when you change it. That will also help condition the seals and pump up the lifters.
