i know i posted this twice but not everyone reads the 4cly tech section
so sorry admins you can delete the other one if you like
Anyways
ok so i start my new job monday at the dealer well today i was driving to get some gas and my truck died all of a sudden so i towed it home popped the hood and there it was sticking out of my timeing cover was a sneeky little timing belt ok so my question is will some one please explain to me how to line everything upi know i have to line up the little dimounds and triangles but im not sure on how to do this is the a how-to on this?
If not some one explain to me how to and ill write one in the prosess on the timing
please help i need this fixed ASAP!!!!!

Clayton, the best thing you could do is get a service manual down at the local parts store when you pick up your timing belt. It will give you step by step instructions, the tools needed, and show you the timing mark alignment procedure w/ snazzy pictures to boot. It's a good idea to have a repair manual on hand anyway. Shouldn't run you more than 15 or 20 dollars, $30 at the most.

this is just what i was looking for now the only problem to over come is getting the crank pully off the bolt seems to be stuck and i dont have a compressor to power my impact any ideas on how to break this bolt loose?
when i use a breaker bar the whole truck begins to moe and ways to lock the engine so it wont turn??????? thanks for any help

Is it possible to use the "starter-bump" method on a 4-banger? That's where you use a good strong socket (impacts work great) and then you brace the breaker bar against something strong (floor, cross member, frame, etc). Then give the key a quick turn to crank the engine just long enought to break the bolt loose.
Sounds a little crude, but it works well in most cases.
