Weird Engine Humming, Attached Video Clip w/ Sound

Hey guys. Lately I've been experiencing a rather annoying humming noise during idle. It is located right by the air intake. It stops when I'm not idling, but it is pretty loud and annoying, something that I'm sure isn't right. There is no CEL, so it's probably nothing major, just annoying. I am running a Cone Filter, but it doesn't make a difference if it's on or off for the noise. I took it off and made this video clip in hopes that someone might be able to recognize it. It doesn't seem to matter if the AC is on or not. Here's the video. Let me know if you've got any questions. http://media.putfile.com/Engine-Noise-45 (File size is slightly over 5MB)

Don't even need to here it, I can tell you exactly what it is.

IAC Valve (pretty sure thats what they call the dumb thing). They are 40 bucks from Autozone.

Look on the intake manifold, you will see a silver thing attached to it with two bolts and a clip, thats it.

I'm on my third one...lol

Awesome. Now that I know what I was looking for, I did find it in my service manual. The Ford part # is 9F715 in case anyone was wondering. Thanks for the help.

If you want, you can take the IAC off and clean with with brake cleaner (Non-chlorinated), let it dry, and re-install. See if that fixes the issue.

Normally the humming noise means its physically worn out(the part that slides).. cleaning is at best a temporary fix.

Yes, but if the noise goes away, he knows that's the problem and can fix it.

I unplugged it, and the noise stopped, but of course it didn't idle very well. I went ahead and ordered one from NAPA, it will be here Monday. I'm sure it will fix me up.

Sweet. I got one from Auto Zone Friday and put it on. Haven't heard the noise since. That should fix you right up.

I got mine ordered, and it's in up at the local NAPA, I was just out of town all last week, so I'll pick mine up tomorrow. I'm ready for that annoying whine to end.
