Engine swap

Engine swap
I have a 2002 ranger that used to have the 3.0 v6 and manual transmission. Swapped that with a 1999 2.5 inline 4 with an automatic transmission. Now I have a no crank issue. I think it's the fuze box because I used the 2002 fuze box on the 1999 engine and transmission. Can anyone point me In a direction that could be the answer?

Welcome to the forum
No crank/no starter motor activation, is most likely a Neutral switch issue or a PATS(passive anti-theft system) issue
2002 manual has Neutral switch on clutch pedal, and needed the starter relay in engine fuse box GROUNDED by PATS
1999 auto has neutral switch on transmission's DTR sensor, and had no PATS, so starter relay wouldn't be grounded if using the 2002 engine fuse box
Pull the Starter relay out of the engine fuse box
Key OFF
test each slot for 12volts, one slot should have 12volt full time, remember it
Now have someone turn the key to START and hold it there
Test the other slots for 12v
If a new slot has 12v then Neutral switch is OK, have them release key and 12v should go away
If no 12v found then Neutral switch is not passing the 12v from ignition switch to starter relay
Once you have 12v with key turned to START but still no starter motor activation you will need to locate the starter relays GROUND wire in the wiring harness
Its a Dark Blue/orange stripe wire that runs from 2002 fuse box to the 2002 engine computer(which is now gone) but the wire should still be in the fuse box harness
You will need to GROUND that wire, and starter relay should then activate with key turned to START
