4x4 question
This is my first post, just joined, sorry if this may have been posted in the past.
I went to put my 06 Ranger FX4 into 4x4 high last night and it would not immediately go into it. I drove about a quarter mile and it went into 4x4.
I am not sure if the cold effected it and it had to warm up, etc.
Being concerned, and being that the rodes were very messy, I put the 4x4 to the test both yesterday and today. Between last night and today I put the truck into 4x4 H and 4x4 L quite frequently, and each time I did so it worked fine.
Should I get this checked out, or should I just wait and see if it is a problem again down the road? Can the cold in fact effect this system?
Sorry if these are dumb questions but I am not mechanically inclined and will continue to post questions that will have obvious answers to others.
