1994 XLT dash brake light on
Everyone,
As the title says, I have my dash light on that displays (!)(P) BRAKE light on. It will go off while driving a little, then come back on. Since I have gotten the truck, the ABS light is on, but I have not been able to get an OBD1 computer to just clear everything. Any ideas?
Thank you,
Colt

At this point, on a '94, I'm betting on a brake line rusted through. Park on a reasonably clean paved lot, then just push the brake pedal really hard. Then get out and look for any puddles under the truck.
Ohh..... Buy a can of brake fluid and carry it in the truck. It might get you home.

I park the truck in the street, and it has been freshly paved. I did just as you said when I first noticed the light thinking it was a pressure issue, and the brakes were leaking, and have not found any brake fluid drips.... just from the oil pan. Filled it up today as it was lower than I though. The reservoir for the brake fluid had a ring that was a stain at the full line. When I oped and looked, it was about half that. Filled it up and drove it around today with no problems yet. Put the bottle of brake fluid in the cab just in case.
Thank you for the help!
