3" BL, T-bar crank 35's?
Hey guys sorry if this has been asked before and i am sure yall can give me a hundred places to find the answer but i have a 02 Stepside 4.0 Ranger with cranked t-bars and a body lift that will be here thursday. I am clearing 265/75-16 with 4.5 to five inches of clearance without the BL . Bumper is not clearing by that much only about three and a half or four just wondering if anyone has tried to fit 35's and if so if they were on a stepside with the same or similar set up. I just dont want to tear my bumper off. Thanks.

Int3rc3ptor and Red_AK_Ranger both ran or are currently running 3" body lift, cranked bars, and 35's on their steppies. The steppie fender wells are more forgiving towards bigger tires. I ran that set up for a while on my styleside/regular style bed..but was too worried to wheel it. it was a perfect setup for the street.....my bars i had maxed out since they were worn pretty good and sagging. I only slightly rubbed the inner fender. You'll need to trim the valence pretty good should you do this set up.

which in actuality....braking wih 35's isn't that bad at all. EVEN with steel wheels like i have. Even with the 10" drums still in the back.

I prefer to my two cars together backwards I guess. Stopping comes before going, and chassis/suspension work comes before looks. I dont like to find the limits of things, I plan for overkill ftw

Sorry but that is just too much rotating mass for me. So yea, i bring it up. Because the factory brakes on these trucks suck. May be "good" for some, but my stock disc/drum barracuda that weighs about the same will come to a halt much faster than my Ranger with new pads, wheel cylinders, and shoes. It's only about 30years older too lol

Thats fine, just my personal experience from stock wheels to steels with 31s was enough to tell me to upgrade things before going further. I do plan on 15x10s & 33x12.50s in the future, so I will be upgrading my brakes, so that I'm comfortable. Whether or not I've driven a Ranger with the same wheels & tires, doesn't matter what someone elses truck feels like to me.
Everyone will have a different opinion on what is "fast", what is "hot", what stops "fine", and what handles "well". Just stating what I've seen with my truck, and the actions I'm taking. I couldn't get my ABS working if I try, and I've done it. A$s light truck should be able to wanna lock the rears up under hard braking. Even my worked over stock drums don't stop worth a crap. (Disclaimer; I'm sure some may do better, but mine don't, so scrap they go)
No 'calling out', just discussing

Thanks for the good info guys I really dont know what i will do yet. 33's just usually look kinda fat when they are 12.5 inches wide to me idk. I have 35's on my old truck and they look good i just didn't know how it would do. Also 06fx4jb83 had a good question i haved almost maxxed my t-bars and i never got an alignment my tires are cupping a lot well not a lot but over a long time it has seemed like a lot. Will an alignment help this because i dont want to cup brand new 33's or 35's?

Actually i think they're 32's. 265/75/16 is a 31.9" tall tire (basically 32"), sometimes 31.8 (still a 32" really depends on the brand and style of tire) , and 10.50" wide.. My stock tires are 255/70/16 which is a 30.9" tall tire, and like 10" wide..

Depends on the truck, mine is well within factory specifications. Cranked about +1.5" with no alignment needed. (work at a dealership, so have plenty of access to mess around on the rack)
