Rough Acceleration/Idle after Intake Manifold replacement
Hi. .New to the forum..
I bought a 98 ranger 4x4 3.0 automatic. I recently replaced my upper intake manifold due to the metal tubing on the top of it breaking and spraying coolant everywhere
I put everything back together and started her up.. she idle'd fine but sputtered when i pressed on the gas. I put it in gear for a test drive and the truck kinda jumps.. as if it had a BIG cam in it.. but it doesnt. obviously. It drives/runs but it bucks/jumps/sputters.
I googled it and replaced my TPS. That did not do a thing. Any ideas?

Have you checked to make sure all the vacuum lines are connected?
When I reattached my upper intake, the idle was high and kept wanting to stall out. Long story short - underneath the intake was a vacuum line I forgot to connect. It dropped down when I had disconnected it and was black so I couldn't see it against the dirt.
