KC lights - which kind?
#26
My original intent in posting this thread was to get opinions on which type of lights to buy. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread. Between Zach's technical information, my own preferenaces, and advice on using the lights from Zach and Neil, I think I have made a decision. This seems to be a highly sensitive subject, but I think we're all smart enough here to know how to properly use off-road lights.
Not to make light (no pun intended) of the back-and-forth dicussions earlier in this thread, but in the discussions it has become even more apparant to me the importance of properly using off-road lights. When I place the order, this will be my first set. So, being a seasoned driver/first time light buyer, opinions from everyone in this thread have been very helpful.
Again, thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread, and by doing so, helping me not only make the right decision in lights, but more importantly, how to properly use them.

Ok, now its my turn to ask some questions :D
i am thinking about getting some light tabs, but am not sure on the lights i want. it seems like KC is the way to go, so for now i will ask for adivce on their lights...
In a couple of months i will hopefully going to the California Highway Patrol academy up near Sacramento. this will be a long drive for me and most of the time it will be during the day, but i want the extra lights for if i need them or for just whenever.
I am thinking that the Driving lights will be the better choice, but do they throw light farther then stock headlights? I like the long range's but i think that the driving ones might work better for me. i am also thinking of going with the titanium ones, but due to the XLT grill and other chrome accents i am debating the Chrome ones, how is the build quality on them?
also in the following link you will see that that some of the lights are repeated a couple of times, the pics look diff. and the price is diff., but what is it that i am paying more for?

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ead.php?t=7604
go take a look buy your lights off there would be a smark idea not direct from KC.
ok personally 99% of people will be happier with Driving here is a diagram so you understand the differnce
personally i would recommend the titanium driving slim lights for ya should look great. and the build quality is great also backed with a 23 YEAR warrenty on the lights even includes bulb burn out.
any other questions just ask
