anyone familiar with IDS?
1998 ranger 3.0 4x4
im trying to change my speedometer with IDS for the 33's
i only have RABS
i go into IDS, module programming, programmable perameters, axle ratios and tire size...
now i want to change my axle from a 7.5 to an 8.8 because there is a 7 tooth difference on the reluctor ring. i also want to change my tire size to 611 revolutions per mile.
it says that the IDS will not communicate with the ABS module because it may be optional. i know i have ABS, i have the light on the dash and it works from time to time. It has me perform a self test and it always fails
Now what??

so im back, no success again..
i go into module programming > programmable parameters > tire size/axle ratio > i change my axle reluctor ring from 102 tooth to 108 tooth (7.5 to 8.8) and then i select tire size and i enter 305/76r16 which is 613 revolutions per mile (33s are 614) and i click the check mark.
it just takes me back to the mail "toolbox" screen and says nothing.
or if i select a pre programmed tire size, 265 being the largest, it says unable to communicate with ABS module, so i run a self test and it says there may be something wrong with the module.
im not sure how to tell what is programmed into the computer now to see if it has changed, and im not sure if i should try to replace the ABS module and try again? Bob? anyone?

Im going to try the NGS we have at school, the only unit we have at work is IDS. We have IDS, WDS and NGS at school so hopefully i can do it there
Do you know the least amount of rotations i can enter? meaning, can i enter 614? the largest tire size programmed in the IDS is 265/75R16 and 31x10.50R15 so i hope i can go larger than that
