PA Install!! I did IT!!

Okay, I went out and got a 50watt PA speaker, indoor/outdoor.

Took the grill off the truck.

Ended up having to use a pair of pliers and wire tools to get the screws out, I'd lost my 7/32's bit, and I gurantee you thats what it needed, as I tried everything till too big and too small..

Once the screws were out the grill kind of folded down towards me. There were two U pins , sorta speak, that were holding the bottom half of the grill to the vehicle, with a slight pull on each side, working very hard at not pulling too hard as to break the plastic, and moving little by little, I was able to get these pins to extend out enough so that I could release them with a screw driver.

There were two on both sides of the Mazda, and go figure the grill is Ford marked on the inside, .

Well, removing the grill took about 15mins, going slow, and first time.

Then the next 2 hours were spent trying to find a good spot for it. (Seriously.)

I ended up mounting it directly under the grill housing, inside, above the bumper.

That piece of plastic to the left is my license plate holder.

Gotta go extreme side to be able to see it, and even then, it's difficult without being at the height of a 3yr old..

BONUS QUESTION!!!

Will my stock Fog Lights I get connect to these connections? These are hanging just above my fog light area.

Hehee!!

I've allready hooked my MP3 player up to it and played music at a relatively nice volume...

It'll be great for when I'm working in the engine bay, and don't need the truck on.

Well Brenton,

If you are gonna comment on the color, perhaps you should know it's maroon, the color dosn't quite come out all that well, but it's a pair of Maroon scrubs.

I happen to be wearing a purple t-shirt right now!

That will be nice to have when working on it.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed when I opened the thread though. I was expecting a Performance Accessories install not a PA speaker install. But it looks good.

Good Job.

Good thought pattern. I am sure that it will be helpful to someone searching in the future.
