Did I install my pop & lock right?

I installed my pop and lock tailgate lock today, which was a pain in the ***. When I finished, I tried it out....Only the right side latch of the tailgate locked, the left side still moved when I pulled the handle in the locked position. Is this right or did i install it wrong? I searched and couldn't find the answer anywhere on here..

pop and lock

wow, that's kinda crappy craftsmanship. It doesnt seem too secure. I think if you gave it a good yank, it will probably open!? WTF!?

No you'll break the handle before the lock does. I wasn't really a fan of it either though, the one on my 150 is totally secure.

I know your problem...you forgot to drop it. If you dont drop it after you pop and lock it, it wont function properly. So...go pop lock and drop it!

Yeah, thats how its supposed to be. Trent is right, you won't get it open still, the handle would break first. If you are concerned still, get a metal handle.

Why was it a pain to install? It took me 15 minutes to do mine, while taking pictures for the tutorial too.
