Looking over the wiring diagrams it appears that the cigarette lighter must be compressed to allow it's filament to ground so current can flow (at least in newer models). The power point doesn’t appear to me to work that way. I haven’t tried to stick some other 12 volt device in the cigarette lighter to see what would happen.
If the fuses are fine and the connector is ok then perhaps it is the cigarette lighter itself has a problem-perhaps lost it's ability to ground.

It has a dedicated fuse but the fuse number varies by year. Possibly #22. Check your owner's manual.

Check the fuse first then take the radio bezel off and make sure its plugged in.

i had the same problem on my 2006 ranger it was the power point fuse #34,yellow 20A , important make sure check both sides of the fuse with a circuit tester or inspect it by taking it off,i have pics but i still dont know how to post them ,
