Blend Door
I had no heat in my 2008 Ranger; the blend door actuator wasn't moving. This blend door actuator video was spot on. It helped me remove the actuator. Turns out the actuator is easy to take apart. When I saw the gears weren't stripped, I cleaned up the grease on the inside (it may have been blocking an electrical connection) and sanded the worm gear motor connectors. When I connected the module before reinstalling, it turned like it was supposed to. Although the space was tight, I was able to reinstall it and now I have heat again at no cost. Thanks for the video.

i watched the video above and got old actuator out. it is no good. I bought a new one and i cant imagine having the actuator arms lined up any closer. He made it look easy as pie in video putting one back in. Ive been struggling for 40 minutes and still dont have it in. My acuator was bad for a while and temp control **** probably been moved a few times from where it failed but I layed them side by side and think there as close as i could get them with a micrometer or something. anybody had this much trouble before ?

A couple of thoughts,
- Is the new actuator an Ford OEM part or after market? If you can put your old one back in OK and the shafts are in the same position, I think you might do better with an OEM.
- Do you still have the old actuator? Mine failed in the position with the temp control at coldest. Try plugging in the new actuator into the wiring harness without installing it and moving the temp control **** until the shafts is in the same position as the old actuator. Then try putting the new one in.
