Welcome to the forum
This is on the exterior of the cab?
Try this part number: XL5Z-1051728-APTM this is passenger side
XL5Z-1051729-APTM is drivers side, just the 8 is a 9 for left hand side
Called Body Side Molding
They unbolt from the inside
They fit 1998-2011 Rangers

While I'm at it are the aftermarket ones good seems to be a big difference in prices between the OEM Ford parts and some of the aftermarket ones.

Google: 2006 ford ranger replacing head headliner
Watch the videos, it will deal with removing upper trim pieces to expose those studs/nuts
Those parts are Discontinued, so could be supply and demand higher price, but Ford Parts will almost always be double or more than 3rd party parts
You will need to paint them as well
Since they were the same parts on all 1998-2011 Ranger regular cabs you may be able to find a color matched Ranger in wrecking yard to pull them off of, so no painting needed and Ford OEM parts
AND, you could then see how to get access to unbolting them on someone else's truck, lol
Try: https://www.car-part.com/
2006
Ford Ranger
Try "Back Glass" as the part so you can see color
Skip areas
Your Zipcode or Postal code
Search
New window will open
Select your model, doesn't matter really, unless you are looking for a sliding rear window, lol
Search
It will show local wrecking yards with matching years, with pictures, click on the Picture to see all the pictures for that Ranger
See if you can find a color match

Well I managed to find some of those strips online, after market, and got one in without any real problems. Then while installing the left side noticed the front nut was not drawing it down. That's when I found the stud had pulled out of the trim piece. I have contacted the seller via email and he said he will replace it. Been a couple days and still don't have any shipping date. I'll give him till Friday evening then try again to see what he says. I won't post his info till I have an answer one way or another.
A side note is a couple of those "Christmas tree" pins holding the trim on inside broke, 17 year old plastic inside a black truck so maybe not too unexpected! Have a box of them coming for about $1.00 each so if anyone needs some in grey I can offer them for that much and a little for shipping.

Well today the replacement trim piece came in the mail. got it installed with no real problems this time!
Also go the box of "Christmas Tree" retaining pins. Only slight problem with those is they a a lighter gray than the pieces around the seatbelt attachment area. I had two of the originals that were still good so put those where they would show the most. Asked my wife if by any chance they make grey nail polish she thinks it should be no problem finding some to match the original pins.
Next project is installing the new lockset in the across the box tool box. That also came in today. just need to drill out four pop-rivets to install it and then re-rivet the latch in place.

Well got the new lockset yesterday and installed it this morning, Now I can lock the tool box.
I know locks only keep to kinds of people out: 1 Honest, and 2 Lazy. Don't plan on putting anything that valuable in there but....
This Friday I'm taking the Ranger to get it rust proofed. A guy I've know for over 65 years and has run his own body shop since sometime in the 1970's swears by Rust Check and he does not sell the stuff himself!
