Window Crank Vibration

Inspired by the 'dome light vibration' thread

I've been meaning to ask but does anyone else have this problem with the bass rattling the window cranks?

But the thing is that it still needs to spin right. So it's hard.

it can still spin ill just put a dab and spin it a few times. the silicon is pretty soft and itll break off just enough to spin and take away the rattle

I think a large felt or foam washer would do it. Take off the crank and put it between it and the door panel.

You can make them out of a sheet of packing foam. You can get felt ones at hardware stores or make them from felt disks used to make pads for the bottom of table and chair legs. Those pads have sticky on one side, which might be useful.

Hey, im kinda new, but i think i might have a solution if its the same thing i delt with.

This is wut you start with. A normal O-ring from any normal garden hose or wuteva:

Next you'll need to take a razor or something sharp and cut it directly down the middle leaving 2 half o-rings:

Then make a nice lil slit on one side:

Then with the slit you can slide it right in between the two pieces of plastic:

If you need any more info..ask..if this wasn't what you needed, just forget i posted it..lol

lol. yeh they are very ez to come by around my neighbor hood...with hoses laying all around the col-de-sac and all...lol no im just kiddin, i had a couple just sittin on my bench and thought it would be an interesting idea to see wut it would do.. i was pleased. At first they might try to move them selves out when u roll up or down the window. but after a few u learn how to hold it so they rotate with the crank w/o coming out
