Seat question (Sport-Trac seats in Ranger)

I'm picking up some leather sport-trac seats (Dark grey) this weekend, they are power but I'm going to just swap out my current seat trac...I could care a less about power seats...lol Anyways, my question is this...The plug on my factory seats I assume has to do with the air bag or is it the seat belt? The ranger plug is square and the exploder plug is round, can I just cut the plugs and swap them out? What is the solution? or can I just not worry about the plug?

Thats what I was thinking, but does that have anything to do with the airbag? meaning that if I left it unplugged will the airbag not go off...I doubt it, just checking though.

I know some seats fit fine, you just have to swap out seat tracs on some others, maybe a sticky should be made by someone on what seats fit, what seats fit with a trac swap...etc

My interior doesnt get touched, other then by a dust brush every couple of months.
