Changing Armrest

Hello all,

I have an 2008 Ford Ranger XL and on the inside it has the pleather coated arm rest. In my old 2000 Ranger XLT it had the arm rest that had storage on the inside of it. My questions is can i swap the one i currently have for the same type my 2000 had and if so do i need to remove the seats to get it out.

Are you talking about the fold down armrest on the 60/40? I know it unbolts. You might have better look getting a whole nother 60/40 from the JY

There are plastic covers on either side of the armrest for the brackets. Take them off by pulling up and out. On my '98, each side is held on by a bolt. I imagine my '98 is like your '00.

Yep thats how the 04+ is as well. I think its a torx bolt that held mine on.
