its a race! swim trunks and some old boots straight into the water. I mean I'm pretty sure I remember a dune steep enough that went right into the water anyways

I use the front licence plate holes to make my mount.

This might be a problem, since you canucks have plates front and back, but thats a good reference. I had about 6-8" tall than i needed to be with it mounted there.
You might want to search and see how Morris did his, which is an excellent idea also.

The front plate works out on older bumps like gen3's that have two holes drilled into the metal.

Nate, look up my thread called project: crybaby. It's simple and removable too.

I've left mine on since rob made it. It got a fresh coat of paint this fall but saved my bumper while parking on the street. I know at least one or two titheaded people backed into it. I've also stood on it without flex.

The flag however, comes off. I don't wanna be made fun of.

There is a couple of people that did that. Justin did, I wanna say Aaron too. Maybe Patrick but I can't remember. I've thought about doing it to mine but I like this plate I have, it's subtle and is a convo starter.
