Never thought that I would buy a truck, but here I am the proud owner of a 00' Ranger Sport. Ever since I moved to Texas, I've been feeling out of place without a truck. I do a lot of driving for work and this truck is now my everyday driver. I'm allotted a certain amout of money every month for vehicle expenses and I originally thought that I was going to get an electric car because of the fuel savings. Even though electric vehicles can be had for steals, this ranger for $3,000 was still less than an electric car would be and it gets great fuel economy and I don't have to mess around charging it. Decided to jump into truck ownership because of the utility of it. I can haul stuff around in it, kayaks, furniture, and future boat. Also, it's a lot cooler to drive a truck (at least in Texas) than a electric car!

Pretty polar opposites electric car to pickup truck. Though everyone should have both, I hate when I see tons of vehicles idling in traffic, such a waste of energy. Its on the cusp of actually being useful, battery powered vehicles. I'd have to say id go for a motorcycle first though.

 

Good find on the truck By the way I've found my 2008 FX4 to be a tough little power ranger, thing can take a hit!
