Front End Squeaks ONLY when locking hubs are in place, weather 4X4 is on or not

Hay, I'm new to this site and lookin for some advise before tearin my front end apart.

I have a 94 ranger splash, 4l 4X4. A few months ago i hit a pothole and the front end started squeakin. I left it alone and now its alot worse. It only squeaks when my locking hubs are in "locked" position. Silent as can be when they are free. I've checked my hubs and front diff. fluid and all is good. I went out and bought a pair of wheel bearings and seals for both wheels but, the more i think about i think it may be either the spindle bearing or a problem with the differential... Any thoughts or suggestions before i start tearing things apart???

Spindle bearing?
Differential Bearings or Gears?

i doubt it would be in the Differential bearings or Gears, those would be more like a whine. it may be just the Wheel bearings. i'd do that first.

Thats wut i was thinkin and I've actually bought the bearings and new seals but wouldn't it squeak all the time, not just when the hubs are in place, if it were just bearings??

Check the u-joint where the drive shaft connects to the pinion.
