new 09 ranger

i just got a 2009 ranger sport 4.0 L back in june
the truck has around 6000 km
the only mods that i have done are 15% tint all around and a pioneer AVIC-700BT head unit
im getting a 10" mtx 4500 sub installed sometime next week
im looking at new exhaust but i cant decide on which one to go with any suggestions will be great!
im also looking to do a mild drop about 2" ( i would go lower but i need to be able to get through toronto winters)
if anyone has any suggestions let me know!

One 10 should be fine. You don't need multiple subs to fill the cab with bass. I personally like my Magnaflow exhaust and reccomend it to anyone. Dumping with a chokemaster sounds like crap to me.

Also since you bought the sport there is no drop kit for the torsion bar suspension. The best you could do is uncrank the bars and take the rear block out if there is one.

Welcome, I think one 10 or one 12 is perfect for a Ranger.

If you got a 4cyl sport, there are drop kits out there for it because it has coil springs, but you got a 4.0 sport, and 4.0 sports are torison bar.

Yeah....a 10 or 12 is all a ranger needs...I think my single 12 is sometimes a little more than is needed.

welcome, sounds like a cool setup...

on the exhaust, it all in the piping...I have a flowmaster 40 series on my 3.0 and it sounds really good... although I have heard the same muffler on other trucks and it sounds pretty bad...

It'll sound a little different than the stang....the stang has no tailpipes behind the muffler. Whereas on a ranger, there's piping behind the muff.

I have a sound clip but it kind of sucks since the exhaust was still new at the time. It has since broken in and it sounds great. I'll post it up:

i was also thinking of a flo pro exhaust or a magnaflow super 44 ive seen videos of them on youtube and they sound pretty good
i also seen another guy on here that has a ranger sport and he did a mild drop 2/2 but i think he has a 3.0 L, is it the same as the 4.0L or different?

Maybe that year 3.0 had coils. We would have to know the year but again no one makes a drop kit for torsion bar Rangers.

There is no magnaflow super 44, its the flowmaster super 44. Flo Tech is like flowmaster just a off brand.

You should be able to drop it just enough, especially with our winters. Through some 18's on it to offset the look
