possibly trading my 96 1/2 ton for a 88 ranger 4x4
Well, the ghey sob story of a lot of guys, can't afford my half ton much longer, and I'm trying to build my 78 f250 4x4 up to a nice show truck and I need all the money I can get for that, so I'm trying to get another ranger..
The 88 has a 2.9 in it, and its pretty good condition other than body work, it will be my DD for a good while.
My 96 however is rusted out in places, losing compression, and oil psi is dropping and fluctuating like crazy. My worn out 2wd 302 M5OD-R2 96 f150 is ready to die and guzzels gas like there's a hole in the bottom of the tank.. Drains my bank account quickly..
Sound like the ranger trade would be smart?
My plans for the ranger would be as follows:
-Drive it a while for DD and save some $$ for the 78's 400
-throw a 3" BL on and run some 31's or 33's for a good long while, have fun with it, and do little mods to it along the way to give it some more creature comforts.
-sometime if I wheel it hard pull the d28 out and put a D35 in it.
-and finally pull the D35 TTB and put a D35 SA from a cherokee in it along with a expo 8.8 when I finish my 78..
Maybe one day if I keep it long enough throw a full width D44 in and a full width 9" in it and ride river beds like a ****
Comments, critics, welcome!
Hopefully I'll have ya'll some ranger **** soon
