If the transfer case has 2 range selector forks it can be twinsticked 205's do not come twin sticked you have to grind the rear output shift rail a little bit very simple took me 30 min. i will try to get pics of mine in my truck.
Go to Tom Woods for driveshafts they do great work i had my rear shaft made there pure beef 1 ton cv and 1350 yokes cost $550 and worth every penny.

Twin Stick NP205
We have seen a few NP205s that have been modified to perform the same functions by removing the interlock pills. Without the pills in place the transfer case can be shifted into front-wheel low and rear-wheel high or vice versa. Needless to say, this is bad. Spinning the front and rear driveshafts at different rates will cause something to break. By modifying the range shift rail as shown, the interlocks will prevent you from being able to shift the transfer case into these breakage-prone positions. The new shift pattern for NP205s with passenger-side front outputs (Dodge and GM) is shown above. Ford 205s will have the rear-wheel shifter on the right but all other functions are the same.
what do u want to know about the shift pattern?? the rail closest to the input of the tcase controls the rear output.. the other rail controls the front output.. if the rail is all the way in then its respective output is in low range.. if it's in the middle it's neutral.. and when the rail is all the way out it's high range..
Removing the interlock pins as elf-cruiser recommends is a BAD idea IMO. With the interlock pins removed it is possible to simultaneously place the 205 in both Hi and Low range. Too many thngs can inadvertantly happen while wheeling to cause this and the resultant damage. Why take that risk when you actually do not need to remove the pins to achieve the desired goal. All you need to do is to remove the range shift rail and enlarge the detents as shown in the following pic:
By enlarging the front detent (right hand side of rail) this allows the rear output to be placed in neutral without removing the interlock pin that rests in that detent. The abrupt edge on the front detent prevents the shifting into Hi when the front output is in Lo.
By only modifying the range shift rail, you do not have to remove the front output shaft. You only need to remove the inspection cover, the range detent ball and spring and the freeze plug near the range shift rail. You can drive out the pin holding the shift fork onto the range shift fork rail with a punch through the freeze plug hole as shown in the following pic:

I've got this setup with a doubler. 7/16 is the correct measurement for the notch. For triple sticks I used ORD's twin sticks for the 205 but I had to make a bell crank to pivot between the transfer cases to get the inside linkage out from between them. I then made a third shifter from a backhoe control lever and connected it to the 203 by turning the flat bar on the 203 upside down. All pretty sanitary actually except the front and rear shift patterns are reversed because of the bell crank. This could be solved by putting bell cranks on both shifters. Sorry no digital camera so no pictures.

Bronco shaft most likely wouldnt work and you would want a 1 ton joint anyways with a cv

thanks Rob. I will have to think about it. I wish I knew for sure that the driveshaft would clear on a 205 with a 4r100.

Ya thats what im saying and you could always just do a 203/205 doubler to get more gearing. the low lock in the 205 is 1.96 which isnt very low but i think with ur 5.13's and the 5.4 it should be alright.

I am not sure, I was but at the moment I am thinking not to. I will scale the truck once it is ready to run, do the math and see how close I am. When I did the 4.0 I think I overscaled some because it was too stiff. This might be just right. The rear is way off it needs much lighter springs.

thanks! its actually more of a project than i can handle but it will get figured it. its like a daily thing to find out this or that isnt going to work and it needs to be modified. its barely a ranger at this point. it gets frustrating in a hurry.

yeah Spartan rocks, man it makes power and does eaxclty what i want it to. 19 mpg ftw...

Yeah, all of the hurdles (not to mention the cost) is what keeps me from doing anything crazy like this lol.

I haven't rode in a 6.4L with a Spartan yet, they seem legit though. You plan to put that '08 on the track at all? I'm curious what it runs Oh, and I WISH I was getting 19mpg. Not quite.

it gets for a 8000lb truck but IMO its not FAST. I may put it in on the the track after I buy a Spartan TCM, Suncoast Torque Converter, AFE intake and buy the upgraded 365hp spartan tune

Plus most tracks require the exhaust to go up, so a tip or a stack.
