Wacky day.. story plus pics.
First sorry all cell phone pics.
So Justin and I head off this morning at like 8am to what we thought was a junk yard with 2 rangers with stuff we needed. we drive down river and we find a little Body shop with a fenced off parking lot little as hell. with random wrecked vehicles and the 2 rangers. place was messed up... really odd
OH almost forgot on the way there we saw this! SADLY the stupid Mercury got in the way that is a Taurus on top of a honda!
ok anyways wow was this place odd but scored something really good.
OH YA level II seats!!!!! boya boya....
anyways so for the past week i have had this horrible squeak coming from the truck, I have drawn the conclusion it was coming from the center console. sooo WONDERFUL out comes the interior!!
ladeda...
OH look a broken console bracket stud. anyone that has had stock captain chairs will know these are so common to break. The other front stud was hardly even hanging on. I think that was the one squeaking.. well being I was alone and had NO way of holding a bolt from the under side and putting a nut on top... OUT came the welder!!!!......
** these are the worse welds I have ever done! lol I got like 90% done I was like why in hell are these welds so crappy. DUR forgot to turn the gas on.. I felt like an idiot.. so after turning the gas on, it all turned into a mess lol just gloppy welds everywhere no biggy its holding good and its not a roll cage so who cares Right!? ya ok
I ended up rewiring my CB found some loose wires. also fixed up the CB bracket some, it was always was a little floppy, because I only put 2 screws in it, now it has 4 and little risers on the back one's because the floor slopes down.....
finally got the interior back together. and decided to clean up the new seats. here they are all clean just waiting for them to dry, the driver's one took a lot of steam cleaning and tons of simple green to get clean idk what this dude did oh well there prefect now...
and that is it for my day..
