SAS questions
so... i have read and reread all the posts in the SAS section. i just want to make sure i am not missing anything before i get started.
truck is a 95 4x4, 4.0 ext cab, explorer 8.8, mountaineer front clip, 3" lift front and rear. i am tired of the wheel failure on the front and am gathering parts needed for the SAS.
i have an axle from a 92 cherokee, found the leafs at Summit racing, spring hanger from datin fab(or home fabbed), going rear shackle and SOA, and possibly high steer kit from
rocky-road.
am i missing anything?

going 3.73 gears, i will use the jeep steering or convert to high steer, fab my own front cross member for the leaf springs, jeep brakes(with russell stainless flex hoses), front shaft lengthened
would a 94 grand cherokee front axle be a good candidate? it has the CV type shafts which i can swap over to the u-joint style

really... is there something wrong with ur front susp. (something really serious i suppose) or something like that ? cause doing all that work to have the truck ... stock with an axle... seems just too much to stay basically the same.
but still good luck then might be nice to see how it would look a stock ranger if it would have came with a FSA

i am tired of replacing/repacking/adjusting wheel bearings every couple of months... the popping when i turn(lift brackets moving)... i have done the wheel bearings to the tee according the ford manual and also the forums way... the tire size can't be causing it as they are only one size over stock.. i have torqued the bolts for the brackets several times, replaced the bushings.....done messing with it! it is time for a new approach
