Where to buy shackles
I need to get new hangers and shackles for my leaf springs. Whoever owned the truck before ran through salt or something, and they are falling apart. I can not find them anywhere. Would anyone happen to know part numbers and such? I am not looking to drop it, want it at stock height, just new shackles.

why would he do that?
those shackles change the pinion angle, he will have all the wrong angle if he wants to stay stock.
he should buy stock shackles and stock brackets if he wants to stay stock.
those shackles from summit are nice but only really work well with a truck that is lifted in the front as well.

Does anyone know how much the pinion angle would change? The stock blocks are angled I believe to produce more positive pinion. Removing them would create more negative pinion. And then the shackles would create more positive pinion. Would this cancel out? I have no idea if this is correct or not. This is more of a question than a response.

I was going thru the same delimma and even found a good used set but then I got some advice to call the dealers(more than one) I found the hangers for 21.00 and the shackles for 21.00 so I ended up changing the rears on both sides for around 90 bucks total. I bought grade 8 botls at a hardware for just under 6.00.

Actually the stock blocks are flat.
and yes it will be way too much pinion angle, the front of the axle will be tipped way too much forward + pinion angle i think
I have tried it before, trust me i would not recommend it.
