anything to look out for when doing a body lift?
Hey guys, i got a 2007 4.0 4x4 auto. and just got some 33s and they fit alright but i do rub when hitting bumps and turning. Wanting to pick up a 3" body lift this week some time and find the time to put it in.
What things should i be looking out for when putting it on and what will be the biggest parts of the job that i should worrie about?
Thanks
-Justin

As far as the automatic shifter up on the steering column it should be no problem. I don't remember my friend having any problems but I'll ask him

Yes, lots of stuff needs to be addressed.
Add extra ground straps, body parts are painted first then assembled, so have poor grounds to begin with, if in doubt ground it.
You can get a shifter extender that is made for lifts, manual trans.
Radiator is part of the body, engine isn't, fan and hoses............
Gas tank filler is attached to body, gas tank isn't.............
Steering column is attached to body, steering box isn't..............
This covers many other points in a lift: 1998 Ford Ranger Body Lift Install
