body mount disassembly question

hey guys i've been doing alot of research on this forum in preparation of doing a 1 or 2" body lift after leveling my trucks front end

i got under my truck and i'm not sure what i'm looking at its all rust/corroded so if someone that has worked with my application could explain to me what i'm looking at id appreciate it...

i'd really like to be explained how to loosen this? is it a bolt in the middle? is it a nut and i hold the outside, thats why there are flats on it? how would i take this apart?

my truck

also i want to level my truck soon but it looks like the only option i have for my ranger is this..

FRONT LIFT/LEVELING KITS - JCWhitney

i saw other threads on degree keys replacement but i saw alot of people saying to never do that?? can someone help clear up what i can do to level my truck?

thanks for the help.

To level the front you can crank your Torsion Bars or get stiffer ones and crank them. Nothing else. To remove that bolt you have to go from the top in the cab. Remove the carpet, rubber grommet, and them bolt. Read the 1" body lift thread there is good information there.

you get to the head from the top inside..

see the bolt sticking threw the washer in the bottom..

Go buy a Map gas kit with the torch and heat it right there till you smell burning rubber pretty good.. then impact out

PB blaster isnt gonna do much main problem is they have lock tite on them that does need to be heated. I have removed enough now that heating the **** out of them they will always come out.. your upper o2 sensor doesnt have lock tite slightly different here

Did nobody catch the 2" bodylift part? They only make a 1" and a 3" body lift for our trucks.

You can build a 1" BL kit or buy a 3" kit. There is not 2" kit.

if 2" of lift would eliminate the requirement toto extend brake lines or radiator housing or steering than i would go with the 3" and make it a 2"

never extended any brake lines on the 15+ kits I have done. moved a few but never a need to extend.

Radiator housing can stay supposedly if shroud is flipped, or you can go efan..

there is no issues dropping it..

steering doesn't change after the extension no big deal..

but in the end its all what you want.. enjoy
