Progress pic! tails off, PB blaster applied to all cab and front mounting bolts, bed bolts loose, but need to be loosened more, I'll do that at like 2am this morning when I get home from work and apply some more PB blaster, mapp torch, breaker bar, and my buddy next door are set to go for tomorrow. We will be getting up fairly early to start lifting! I can't wait, got the instructions, tools and we're set to go.

Cleaned, tails removed, filler neck unbolted, trailer harness disconnected, pb blaster applied, only thing I couldnt take off was the rear bumper because my breaker bar is too small so I will do that tomorrow.

Yeah I can't wait it's going to look sick, I just need to pick up some stair rubber runner at home depot for the gap guards but I'll do that on Monday.

Dunno if it has been mentioned...but you need to make sure you torch the crap out of the body bolts to loosen them. It will save you a ton of time and your back.

I'm a noob... why would you need to take the tails off? They don't hold the bed on...

My 1000th post!!!!! bingo, taking it off to just spray some paint on the frame real fast. Going out right now at like 2am to finish loosening the bed bolts and to spray some more PB blaster. I have the mapp torch ready to go, that and a huge breaker bar that my buddy next door is bringing over, if that doesn't work we'll break out the impact but im not sure if he has it or his friend is borrowing it, I think we'll be set without it going to use a huge jack bar as a breaker bar.

Also you don't put loctite on the bed bolts correct? seems pointless for that..

Don't forget to top off your blinker fluid when you put your tails back in!

Well after 6 hours, we managed to do the bed, got all the cab bolts out, those came out like butter with heat and we only used a breaker bar and a socket wrench so those are out, front driver side mounting bolt came out easy, but of course the last damn bolt was the passenger side front mounting bolt which took us 3 damn hours to get out, it just would not loosen up but we got it out so all the body bolts are out, abs lines were a PITA to unclip as well, so everything is set to be jacked up tomorrow, beds done. Also the filler neck was a PITA, had to shave the rubber tube so we could jam those metal extensions in, and the smaller one wouldn't even go in so we had to run next door and grab some smaller piping. so I will finish the cab tomorrow it got to dark. Here's 2 pics.

I'd say this is going to take me another day or two, since I have mid terms I gotta study for not much time for the truck at the moment, I'll get everything put back together within this coming week, plus I still need to take off the rear bumper which was hard as hell I gave up on it for a bit.

Thanks man It was like 55 here today felt so nice, glad to here you got the seats out. Dude quick question, this kit came with 3 lengths of bolts, we had to use like 2 of the longest bolts on the holes closest to the cab on the bed, and like the 2 medium sized bolts for the 4 other holes on the bed. Which bolts are used for what? It didn't say **** about different sized bolts in the instructions and what went where, at least I didn't see anything.... ?

Glad to hear your bl is going alright! I got my bed up today but ran into a snag while doing the cab. Some gnarly mixture of mud/water under the vinyl so I gutted the interior to get that cleaned up before moving forward. One of my buddies helping me split a craftsman 18mm socket trying to get the cab bolts out. Synchronous body lifts still ftw! :-P

You too man, haha we broke 2 socket extenions doing the cab bolts.. Well the 4 inside cab bolts were easy, those front one's were a PITA.

Still need this answered, ( quick question, this kit came with 3 lengths of bolts, we had to use like 2 of the longest bolts on the holes closest to the cab on the bed, and like the 2 medium sized bolts for the 4 other holes on the bed.
