So i have a 2001 ranger xlt, manual, 2.5l. When im driving down the road sometimes when i put it in neutal or have the clutch pushed in it revs up real high. Like 1000-2000 rpm's above normal. When i go back into gear it goes back to normal rpm's. If i leave the clutch pushed in or go to neutral it will stay high until the truck comes to a complete stop. Does anybody know whats going on. Thanks.
