Hello I am new to the forum. I need help to identify the year my engine was built. It is a 2.3L only plate I can locate is a reman tag above starter. Is there any other date codes located on the engine?

Passenger side toward the back of the block there may be a casting number, E would be 1980's casting, F would be 1990's

It would have to be 1991 or earlier block because the distributor hole was gone in 1992 and up castings I believe

 

I also found these #’s but they are located at front of engine by water pump

 

E8 would be a 1988 casting, E = 1980's
Not sure what the 9 means here
E at the end means "engine engineering"

6015 is the part number for an engine block, any engine block

AD is the revision number, starts with AA then AB then AC then AD, next revision would be AE, so its the 4th revision of this casting
