anyone know what a 15, 18, or 30 in glass pack would sound on a 2.3. I mainly want something thats sounds good and is not to loud below 3000rpm over that and loud is ok

 

the longer the glasspack, the quieter and the shorter it is, the louder. same principle with other mufflers as well. I personally don't have a glasspack on my ranger but best way i can describe it is you can tell it's not stock. It will have some raspiness to it assuming the rest of your exhaust is stock. Stock pipes and cat. I think a 30in pack, you might be able to tell a difference but not much on a small 4banger. Hope this helps -Mike-

I have an 18" glass pack and its a lot quieter than my friends like 12 or 10" one.

 

would a 40 series and a medium glass pack sound ok? i had one on my neon when i had it...i had a borla muffler and a 15 in to mellow it out some more...would it do the same or jus go 40

 

i would just go 40 alone

 

sounds like crap i had 1 on the truck and ive got a 2.3 it sounded like complete rice. it was beyond lound and i ended up having to take it off because i got a ticket.

I hate the way a glasspack sounds ...i would go with a muffler of somesort...

 

I tried a 24" glasspack on my truck, the following day I bought the gibson cat-back system. The sound from the glasspack is terrible! It did rev a bit quicker, but sounded like sh**!
