I went to a muffler shop and the guy quoted me $325 to have a dual exhaust cat back system with magnaflow muffler and aluminized steel pipes (i think 18 guage), all welded and installed with 2 chrome tips for my truck,, is that a good deal? I really havent shopped around casue this shop isnt far from my house.

Im not sure what this style of duals is called, but gibson calls it extreme duals, is that its only name? The quote I got is for a similar setup,,

if only you had a supercab and v6 you could get the thunderbolt magnaflow cat for half that...

seems close to normal price... usualy like 150-170 for a single exit system with a cheaper muffler...

not too bad a price, dont use chrome tips though, go for stainless

do the chrome tips not last?

they will if you constantly maintain them. get a good rolled lip stainless tip

stainless is the way to go...i got chrome and regret it...big time...

I have had several different exhausts on my ranger and as far as performance and sound go, I like the gibson stainless the best.
