Intermittant power gains.

I know it SOUNDS good. but i like it when it rides real nice and when it doesn't It's a NOTICABLE Difference.

Sometimes i drive it and its real sluggish. other times it feels like its producing WAY more torque / Horsepower. Warm/Cold/Hot. makes no difference. road makes no difference. nor do hills.

what i want to know is why this could be happening?or is it because its a power LOSS and Sometimes it runs normal?

auto?... could be your torque converter or just your computer adjusting to more aggressive driving and changing shift points

like, on the highway, it would pull when you push the gas, other times you have to keep the pedal to the floor to keep the truck around 70.

and when it was running good, it got really good gas mileage, other times it would drink gas like it was nothing and run like crap.

EASY. lol i have a manual. and 4.56 gears. it doesnt light up tires as easy anymore (Partially because my clutch is in need of replacement) but i still haul ***. also on another note. the gov. set at 95 doesnt kick in until 115mph.

Mine does that too. Been trying to figure it out myself the last 3 yrs i've had my truck.
If you happen to figure this out let me know. I'm not really concerned about it, but i am a little curious. *maybe giving that hamster under the hood in the spinning wheel a Red Bull will help!!*

mine isn't doing it anymore since i put the new 2.5 in.

maybe it was the t-stat, it was broken when i took it out, or it could be the o2 sensors.

it could be something as simple as the battery being unhooked for a month.
