Location of EGR vacuum solenoid/ regulator

I have a 2005 Ranger with a 2.3L. I bought it a couple of years ago and it’s a great truck and just now has 54,000 miles. I have been working on fixing a couple of minor issues. I get a check engine light sometimes with a P0403 code, EGR circuit. The truck runs and drives fine. It has been suggested to me that this specific code is usually not a bad EGR itself, but more likely the EGR vacuum solenoid/ regulator. I would like to test that part and replace it if necessary. I know the EGR itself is very hard to access in this truck. What about the solenoid?? I have found a diagram of what it looks like and it all makes sense to
me, but there is virtually no information online about how to access this specific part. I appreciate any info!
