Looking for exhaust!

Im looking for a good muffler for my 89 2.3L Ranger, I dont want it to sound like a bumble bee either! I just want somthing that sounds decent and doesnt cost to much! I had Dynomax on my last Ranger and wasnt very impressed with it! Any suggestions?

Well your going to have to get over that it sounds like a bumble bee it is a 4 cylinder. But, on the other hand some will give you a deeper buzzing noise haha. I have a pro sound its based off the Flowmaster 40 series but its alot cheaper. I have mine dumped before the rear axle its pretty loud when i get into it but not to bad when im cruising. Mine was 85 dollars installed at the local muffler shop.

Heres a clip of some dudes flowmaster 40 thats dumped out the side:

Ya but dont get to big of tips cause then it will look ridiculous on the truck. Just dump it underneath and call it good.

well I bought a 25" glass pack, put it on and the truck sounds awesome, its just to loud for my neihborhood! so its coming off and im going to experiment with it and try to weld tabs on the outlet and see if i can alter the sound and sound level a little, if not i think im going to try a flowmaster!

Best exhaust for a 4 cylinder is.......Stock exhaust. When i had my 2.3 i was thinking on an exhaust, but then I thought again and knew it would be a bad idea. its a 4 cylinder. There is a an exception, Zachs old 2.3.. (or Redneckstone). But in all due respect, i think it would be a costly mistake.
