Looking for an exhaust

I'm going back and forth as to whether or not i should get a SI/DO or SI/SO exhaust. What are the pros and cons to them?

And what are your opinions on the deepest sounding muffler?

Don't worry, I decided myself... I decided on the Flowmaster Super 44 SI/DO. Any opinions?

Its loud, drones a lot and rusts easy. I found mine to be very annoying after a while.

I like mine, but I think it's all personal preference. I have noticed mine is starting to rust though.

Exactly, every persons likes are different. If you like a loud exhaust and want people to know your coming your probably like the flowmaster. If you like something a little more mellow you'd probably like a magnaflow, borla or gibson. Its all personal preference.

I had mine dumped under the bed which made it much worse than if you ran pipes out the back. Some people don't mind it but noises like that just seem to drill into my head.

Exactly right! It gives you a false sense of peace.

So, is there an advantage to doing pipes straight out the back vs a pipe coming out each side? I heard from someone that if you go straight out the back, that the exhaust fumes will circulate back into the bed of the truck, and into the back glass slider. Is this true?

it also depends on the model from flowmaster, a 50 sereies isnt near as bad, it not as loud driving but it dosnt drone much at all

What do you guys mean when you say dumped? Is that just where the tailpipes are?

well i have two 3 inch tips that turn downwards (a lot cheaper than tips out the back) or you can just cut the pipe anywhere you want after the muffler to consider it dumped.

As DJ said, its just where your pipes end, like mine are dumped (end) at spare tire carrier.
