PCV Valve

Where is the PCV Valve located on a 04 Ford Ranger 2.3L

On the drivers side, below the intake manifold. You have to remove the wheel well plastic to get to it. It's not the easiest to get at - I changed mine in November.

I was able to find mine by removing the driver's side front wheel. But I can only reach it with one hand. Do you need both hands and can you describe how to actually remove it? (there's a pinch clamp on the back end of it -- the prongs of the clamp are pointed toward the engine, and I can't tell what is connecting the front end of the PCV valve to the engine.) Thanks.

I went ahead and removed the driver's front wheel and the plastic shroud to make it easier to get at. Now I'm stuck though. There is a black plastic ring/cap that holds the PCV valve to the engine, do you recall how you pried or screwed the ring/cap off to remove the PCV?

I havent done that yet i thought it was the main problem to my truck but it was something else
