What is this hose?

I need to replace this hose. It has some sort of clip thing on each end. I already partially snapped the clip on the throttle body side but it's still firmly attached. The hose is disintegrating and needs replaced.
a. Anyone know the part # or name?
b. How the hell do you remove the ******* thing it?

I believe the hose is an EGR system hose that connects to the EGR Valve Vacuum Solenoid. Not sure what the correct name for the hose is, but a dealer would surely be able to get it for you.
Not sure how to disconnect...haven't had the pleasure of removing mine so far.

So BTW.... this is on an 07

Just got back from the dealer. This is actually 2 hoses. Both are decomposing and yes they are for fuel vapor.

Quoted me $80 for the set .... The short one is the most expensive. Comes in about $4.50 AN INCH!

I'm thinking, if I can figure out how to get them off, I either make my own or hit ebay for cheaper.

I think this is the clip I need https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...evap-line.html

Thanks. That's a little less ridiculous.

I was thinking of rebuilding it myself as well. I don't think it is leaking but it is surely looking tired after 16 years of heat. I was going to disassemble it and replace the hose with a similar hose I can source from Autozone or Rock Auto. It would likely cost less than 5 bucks to fix it this way vs 60 bucks or so.

I wonder if anyone else has done this yet?

Am I just so cheap? but I do think it should work fine with a rebuild.

Thanks,

Bob
