wiring Schematic for 2003 ranger 2.3L
Anyone have any ideas where I can get a wiring schematic and service manual for my 2003 Ranger 2.3L?
I'm not getting power to the Fuel Pump (Pump tested good.)There is a sensor (that seems to connect where the Radiator hose connects to the ENGINE) and the wires that connect to it have melted the insulation off of them. Not quite sure what the sensor is (probably temp sending unit) and have my doubts about it causing the power loss to the fuel pump.
It has Spark and will run if I spray starting fluid into the throttle body while cranking.
Any Ideas?????

2003 Ford Ranger EVTM is what you need, look on ebay
There are no fuel "sensors", the PCM(computer) monitors if fuel pump is getting 12volts with key on at the inertia switch on passenger side of cab
Inertia switch is behind behind passenger kick panel, it has a red button on top that will popup if in an accident to cut power to fuel pump
Diagram here: https://ww2-secure.justanswer.com/up..._175857_A1.jpg
Inertia Switch has 12volt in and 12volt out when engine is running, actually 14volts, lol, because of alternator voltage
It ONLY has 12volt in for 2 SECONDS when key is first turned on, after that you will see 5-8volts from the PCMs monitor circuit, no amps just volts, so it can't run fuel pump, this 2 second run time is a safety feature
You can cycle key on and off as much as you want to check for the 12volts for 2 seconds
PCM won't send 12volt full time until engine RPMs are above 400, so engine started, cranking RPMs is 200
Fuel pump(FP) power path(wire color)
Battery--------FP fuse 23------------------FP Relay-----(green)----------------inertia switch-----(pink)---------------Fuel Pump-------(black)--------ground
The PCM grounds the fuel pump relay to activate it and send 12volts to the pump, thru the inertia switch
Example picture of inertia switch: https://static-cdn.imageservice.clou...tton-on-a.jpeg
You can reset inertia switch by pressing the red button back down, BUT.............it will "pop" again if you hit a bump hard enough or slam a door, so once it's been tripped it needs to be replaced with NEW, not wrecking yard part for obvious reasons, lol
2003 Ranger will have PATS(passive anti-theft system) which disables fuel pump and fuel injectors to prevent starting if correct key is not in the ignition cylinder
But starter motor should also not work if PATS is activated
There will also be a fast flashing THEFT light(padlock) on the dash with key on, if PATS is activated
