Hello. Back in August, a friend gifted us his Ford Ranger, 2002. 2.3 L Stick. The truck has about 160.000

Engine gave out two weeks ago. I am currently looking for another engine. I am calling all of the local junkyards right now and am looking for a 2002 ford ranger to swap out.

Are there other Ford Ranger model/year engines I can use to substitute for the 2002 Engine?

There are a few 2001 rangers in my somewhat surrounding area at local junkyards.
