I used a Derale 15715 kit from Summit for $48. It fits the OEM filter as well as a larger one used for older small and large block ford V8s. It comes with 10' of hose, way more than I needed.
Here's the OE filter location, accessed through by turning the steering wheel all the way to the right then removing five plastic pins that hold a splash panel in place.
The OE filter compared with the larger V8 filter, and filter adapter.
Here's the hose adapter that screws into the filter mount. The hoses route around the steering shaft then forward, following the route of the wire loom.
I chose to mount the filter forward of the front cross member. This requires removing the front skid pan to access. Note that the filter is high enough to avoid contact with the pan.
To mount the filter adapter I used a 12mm sheet of HDPE. I like this material because it's strong and easy to cut and drill with simple woodworking tools.
Mock-up prior to drilling the mounting holes for the cross member:
Here's the cross member location. I used a gold Sharpie to mark the bottom and side of the filter. Then selected the size of the HDPE plate and hole locations. Pre-drill the plate then use that as a template to mark the hole locations on the cross member. The bottom hole can be made using a standard drill. For the upper holes, I used a right angle drill with a short bit, cut from a standard length.
All said and done this is about a four hour job, including an oil change. The new set-up increases the oil capacity to seven quarts. It will make the next ten years of oil changes simpler and cleaner.
