1998 3.0 Cam Position Sensor

Hello!

I have a 1998 Ranger 3.0L V6 with 128K miles on it and I'm wanting to replace the cam postition syncro along with the camshaft sensor because of a slight misfire I'm having along with odd idle rpms and the famous sqeualing noise.

My question is I'm looking for the new CPS to replace and some of them have 3 prongs for the connector and some have 2. Which one would a '98 need? I read they changed the connector in the late 90s from 3 to 2 but I'm not sure which one it is.

Thanks!
