How to replace a cam position sensor

How to replace a cam position sensor

Anybody know how to do this with out the special tool? Thanks

You don't need a special tool for the sensor , only when you change the syncronizer assembly.
There was a post about changing it a while back without the tool.

it is hard to change without the tool. if you buy one made by dorman it comes with the tool you need

You do not need the special tool. It is just like pulling a distributor; keep it all lined up properly and you will be fine. I did it yesterday in about half an hour.
