2001 Ford 3.0 in a 2001 Mazda 3.0

My Mazda B3000 got water logged and now has a wonderful knock. I found a 2001 ranger with 3.0 and a bad cam synchronizer for $300 and it has 96k on it. Could I do a straight across swap and my cam synchronizer on it? Will it bolt directly into the Mazda? What parts do I need to swap around? Thank you

Didn't I already answer this ?
Yes, the synchronizer will fit.
The blocks are the same.
Both are from 2001, so a straight swap.

The only thing I can think of,

Are both engines the same? as in flex fuel VS gas ?

You may need to keep your original upper intake manifold and everything fuel related.

Eighth digit of VIN both trucks
U = Gasoline
V = Flex Fuel

The heads in the flex fuel will/should be different, but they can be used for regular fuel.
The combustion chamber is heart shaped for flex fuel.
