hey guys i got a '97 ford ranger extended cab 3.0. i have a problem with any cold start. unless i let it idle for about 20 mins or so and warm up it wont pull off. motor idles really low and wont come off idle. it doesnt matter if its a hot or cold day. its 5 speed and its really boggleing me. i changed coil packs and the crank and cam sensors but it still has this problem. any ideas????

 

is your CEL on?

 

no the CEL is not on. i was hoping it would throw a code to help me pinpoint but it hasnt yet. and i done a tune up on it not 3 weeks ago and ive went back and checked everything and all is right.

 

try fooling ur motor on ur IAC remove it and plug the holes and SLOWLY move ur fingers.... could have a "frozen" iac i replaced mine w one for a jy since the stealership wanted WAY to much
